Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Juicy, lively, freshly curranty scents, with a violet sweetness to them. The palate is intensely curranty, and just a little lean, though very concentrated and aromatically complex; there is tannic support, and it has a long, sustained finish. A very good wine in driving, plunging style: bracing but rewarding to drink. The acidity is so high that I wouldn’t store it for long; drink while it still has supporting flesh. 2018–22. | 87
Michael Schuster | Ripe fruit and cedar nose; elegantly balanced mid-weight, fresh and finely tannic; briskly ripe in fruit, modestly complex, but sappy and persistent. Good lesser St-Julien. 2020–30+. | 88
