BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark red-black in color. Fresh, cool, and lively scents in softly contoured style; a whiff of the copse and the hedge behind. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, taut, and fine-honed, with piercing though ripe acidity: aquiline and long, cool and intense. 2018–22. | 88

Michael Schuster | Closed but aromatic to smell; medium-full, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin; a sweetly ripe fruit core, crisp, tasty, long and complex and satisfying, and with excellent length to follow. A fine, firm, middle-rank St-Julien, needing time, but with plenty of long-term promise. 2026–36+. | 91
