Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Very classy, refined fruit scents with a cologne freshness behind the deft blackcurrant and fresh bramble, too. Pristine, pure, and enticing—and not a hint of underripeness anywhere. Outstanding aromatic work here. Very graceful, deft, supple and pure-fruited on the palate. The ripeness is perfectly judged here, on the cusp between freshness and sweetness; there is ample perfumed purity. Little tannin, but the wine is not slender, either; it has comely and graceful mid-palate contours. Lovely drinking now, in truth, with birdsong freshness and butterfly charm, but it will hold and may even build for a decade. 2018–27. | 92

Michael Schuster | Fairly closed, but ripe fruited; stylish mid-weight balance, fresh and finely tannic; sweetly ripe, long and graceful to taste, a gently dry tannin texture, complex, aromatic, and with a fine fruit persistence; overall a moderately firm constitution, which will need time but will be very rewarding in due course. 2028–40+ | 92
