BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red in color. Fresh yet warm, too: a comforting, easy-going claretty scent, though without much detail or precision. Its smooth, almost juicy palate fits the profile sketched out on the aromas. Moderate concentration, so for rapid drinking, but the relative ripeness will bring much pleasure while it lasts. 2018–21. | 85

Michael Schuster | Light, gravelly claret nose; fresh, finely tannic medium-full wine, attractive northern Médoc balance; a nice even claret flavor at a lesser scale, but lightly aromatic, complete and with good, gentle length. Accessible now, better in 3–4 years. Now to 2030. | 88
