Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense black-red. Impressive ripeness on the nose here: warm, glowing red fruits, milled flour, licorice, meat jus. In the mouth, too, this has beautiful ripeness and depth, so it’s a 2014 Moulis that really seems like a Moulis: ample, full. Perhaps not quite beefy—but at least there is flesh on its bones. Fine-grained tannins, purity of aroma and flavor and its nascent complexities make this a genuine medium-term proposition. 2018–25. | 89

Michael Schuster | Fairly closed to smell, but clear finesse; elegantly balanced mid-weight, fine in tannin, fresh in acidity; long and even, gently aromatic, an attractive complexity, and good length of aftertaste. Complete and very good, without being grand. Classic 2014—freshly ripe, aromatic, harmonious. Will make a most satisfying glass of claret for many years. 2024–32+. | 89
