Andrew Jefford | Very dark black-red in color. Slightly greener and fresher than many of its Pessac-Léognan peers, but there is plenty of fruited force here. On the palate, it is concentrated, juicy and freshly fruited, with ample purity and good length. Moderate tannins. You have to like the vintage style for this wine, but if you do, or if you crave freshness in claret more generally, it has much to offer. 2018–23. | 87
Michael Schuster | finely gravelly on the nose; light, new-oak dry edged in texture, crisp in acidity; a leaner overall feel here, lacking a touch of ripeness and depth, pleasing enough, but modest in length and overall a touch austere. Not bad, but definitely to enjoy with food to take the edge off its texture and vitality. 2020–28. | 85
