Andrew Jefford | Saturated deep black-red. Warm, ripe, vivid roasty fruits: sweet, broad, and enticing. A less fiercely concentrated wine than Pavie, though still frankly ripe, with a simpler and more accessible, less raisiny core of fruit here. Plenty of tannins, though these are soft; the acidity is not too terrifying. Well crafted and accessible, with some chocolate in the finish. 2018–26. | 90

Michael Schuster | Dense, ripe, subtle, persistent, but relatively closed; rich, generous, fleshy, fresh and finely, firmly tannic; sweet, sapid, succulent, long and juicy and gently spicy, an abundant yet also refined wine, complex, aromatic, mouth-coating and satisfying; quite powerful without being overly forceful, and full of promise. 2030–45+. | 94
