BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Saturated dark black-red. Round, bright, almost primary plum fruits: artless but attractive. Vivid, fruity, dark, intense, and concentrated, with some black-chocolate flavors. Again, lots of drama between the dry richness of fruit and the prominent, fresh, incisive acidity. Coffee flavors to finish. 2018–23. | 87

Michael Schuster | Ripe and gently gamey nose; full, fresh without being edgy, fairly firm in tannin; a quite rich fruit there behind the tannic frame, sappy and savory, and with nice length, too; but all that said, this is still a firmly tannic wine, with limited fruit to balance the structure. Another one for rich fare at table. 2022–32+. | 88
