Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red. Warm, misty black cherry, but a little bit toffeed and biscuity; less pure than one might hope, and some might say simple. Lots of concentration, but it’s a bit of a soup, and the level of purity in the ripe fruits is lower than (for example) for Nenin and Petit Village. Nonetheless, there is generosity here. I wouldn’t store it for long. 2018–21. | 85
Michael Schuster | Sweetly ripe, plummy fruit to smell; full, generous, firmly tannic; ripely fruited, quite powerful, but the fine fruit core is dominated by its firm tannin frame; moderate complexity, medium length. Good, if lacking a bit of richness and scope. Chunky and satisfying, rather than “fine.” 2023–35+. | 90
