BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Amber with green lights. This is rather beguiling on the nose, presenting mocha and tangerine and caramel. Silk-textured, it is supple and accessible and has some praline intrigue. Slightly lacks a bit of energy—wonderfully long, poised, and elegant. | 92

Andrew Jefford: Full umber-gold. Soft, creamy, teasing apricot and tangy honey scents: quiet but haunting and attractive. Fine-grained and pure, with late autumn orchard fruits dressed in tangy honey; plenty of soft russet-apple acidity, too. Delicious, modestly complex dessert wine, with some lightness and lift. | 88

Margaret Rand: Coffee nose with some leafy notes. Pungent palate, lush texture, citrus zest and cream. Moreish. Some grapiness, some complexity. Very good concentration, and those coffee notes come through on the palate. It grows on you and becomes more complex: expressive and individual. | 90
