Alison Buchanan: A beautiful pale amber in hue, this has a gorgeous nose: grape must, lime zest, and candied fruit. The palate is super-sweet, ripe, and fleshy, with some complementary nutty notes. A little bit barley sugar-esque or would achieve a higher score. | 85

Andrew Jefford: Full deep gold. Lush, botrytized scents: lime and grapefruit, with a mallow, exotically floral overlay; some mushroom, too. Sweet, citric, tangy, with some botrytis complexities, though much less weight on the tongue (and much less palpable oak) than a grand Sauternes would have; a butterscotch finish, though there is also something of the toasty-smoky lime that you find in Hunter Valley Semillon in the finish. A generous, relatively pretty and light indigenous dessert-wine style. | 88

Margaret Rand: Grapey and citrus nose, the palate has very good acidity, very fresh, and more citrus than grapey. Quite a remarkable wine: lush, thick texture, and powerful acidity. Winey rather than fruit-driven. Reminiscent of a dried-grape wine; would be very good with cheese. Not incredibly complex but moreish. | 89
