Simon Field | Generous but not overindulgent, a finely crafted testament to the vintage; soft spice, raspberry, and potpourri; palate is still young, tannins and acidity wrestling for sure, but the fruit arbiter confident in a satisfactory voyage to the home key. | 93

Andrew Jefford | Dark purple-red. Sweet, fresh, curranty, and warm. Very clean and pristine. Vivid, fresh, poised, and lively, with lots of engaging blackcurrant and black plum fruit in “early picked, cusp-of-ripeness” style. There’s even a little grassiness here, too, but in this wine I am totally in favor, since it helps lift and carry that fruit. A delicious and well- constructed mouthful of Chinon from a lovely vintage. Toothsome now and enjoyable for a half-decade. | 90

Charles Metcalfe | Aromatic, ripe, raspberry and dark- chocolate notes on the nose. This has lovely fruit, smooth tannins, brisk acidity, and very discreet support from oak. Balance and elegance, freshness and understated intensity. The finish is long and aromatic, with a cool, leafy quality. Lovely perfumed wine, with lots to come. | 93
