Simon Field | Deep inky color; nose of forest floor, apple skins, and a hint of raspberry compote; palate is very complete, spice and pepper garlanding elegant red fruit, an old-fashioned punnet, raspberry and strawberry, with a few blueberries in the name of latent complexity. Refined, elegant, unassuming acidity and very soft tannins complete the ensemble: Watteau in the water meadows. | 94

Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark red. Fresh, sweet, lively raspberry and red plum scents. There’s some attractive aromatic architecture here, with ample spicy depths. Lively, fresh, lighter textured than many of its peers; clean, energetic, spicy, and long. A model Saumur-Champigny, though not one that needs cellaring. | 88

Charles Metcalfe | Rich, earthy, full-bodied aromas, with cooked raspberries dominating. Tannins are firm and brisk, fruit is good and ripe, and acidity is well in balance with other components. This is young and vigorous, with further to go. A good expression of the ripe 2015 vintage without being remarkable. | 88
