BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | Generous of color and deceptively rich on the nose; saline, peppery, Christmas spice, hints of the hearth—all life is here. Very much alive; the palate is beautifully poised, long, and angular, but in no way lacking in elegance and poise. All in all, a very impressive wine. | 93

Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Grassy and fresh, but with little depth of fruit beyond that. It does, though, find a little aromatic resonance with some time in the glass. Lively but still relatively grassy on the palate. | 82

Charles Metcalfe | A hint of grassy freshness allied to typically earthy aromas. The cool 2014 weather shows through in the grassy flavors, but it’s not all grass, there are earthy, red fruit flavors as well. Tannins are firm but gentle, and acidity in balance. Pleasant expression of a cooler vintage. | 89
