Alex Hunt: A prickly, oxidative nose. Ripe fruit marred by the tag-team of strident acidity, and a touch of volatile acidity, too. Furry tannins on the end. Slightly hard work- 11

Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Fresh, vivid, leafy but not unripe, engaging but unrefined. Lively, elegant, fresh; firmly stated, with salty edges. Very much a tenor within the context of this tasting; incisive, lots of acidity but ripe acidity, modest but palpable tannins; not hugely extractive. Refreshing wine above all- 14.5

Simon Larkin: Holds color to rim but not opaque. Gentle aromas of cherry, berry and leaf. There is an incredible, rasping acidity here that pervades the palate, making for a lean impression. The fruit is subdued, lip-smacking red fruits in the main, with a leafy, green edge. This is bracing stuff without the sense of generosity or roundness to offset. Hard and unyielding- 9.5
