Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Red berries on the nose; precise, balanced, forthright tannins. A little less full-bodied than the 2016, but very well made and exactly what one expects from this property. Tasted twice. | 93
Michael Schuster | Freshly ripe to smell, but a nice subtle bouquet; moderately rich, fresh, fine in tannin, a lovely mid-weight St-Julien balance; succulently ripe, supple in texture, long and gently complex, very pure fruit, gently racy, a clear defining thread of acidity, and lovely perfumed length. Classic in the best sense. No asperity to deal with, plenty of immediate pleasure, complete and very individual. An easy, but much more than a simple, pleasure. 2027–33. | 90–92+
