Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Remarkable one-time tasting at the château. A great nose, then a rather exceptional richness of taste in this vintage and in this area. It will rival the first growths—at a very attractive price, too. | 94

Michael Schuster | Rich, vital, middleweight wine, finely tannic; a nice density of flavor, crisply sweet, ripe red fruit; long and juicy and sapid, with Margaux restraint and elegance, a gentle complexity, moderate mid-palate scope for a second growth, but with fine sweet fruit persistence. Very nice if still, one feels, just below what it could be. 2026–40. | 90–92+
