BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Only five vines were affected by frost. Superb volume on the palate, with Cabernet Franc ripe and ready to concentrate its freshness, alongside subtly juicy tannins. | 94

Michael Schuster | Rich, black cherry-ripe and oaky to smell; ample, fresh, firmly (oakily) tannic; deep, sweet, juicy in fruit, marked by its tannin structure and muscularity as usual, but this is also very long and aromatic this year. For me, the power, the alcohol intervene in the pleasure and, as usual, the Canon La Gaffelière, for my palate, is finer, easier, more subtle to taste, more aromatically complex. But the Mondotte is fine wine of its type. Long-term. 2032–47+. | 92–93+
