Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | A historic harvest, in that picking lasted three weeks, which is the longest ever. Each block had to be brought to the right level of ripeness. The result is a nose of violet and iris, with a very subtle hints of blackcurrant. The aromatics are already very expressive. The mouthfeel is founded on tannins firmly anchored in the clay soils, with a very stylish smokiness. | 96
Michael Schuster | Strikingly fine and floral nose; rich and elegant, with a fresh but not intrusive acidity and the most polished of fine tannins, a beautifully poised wine; rich and sweet and black-fruit ripe, dense yet effortless, prolonged to taste, quite powerful, but racily aromatic, thoroughbred, very complete. Enormous length of aftertaste, dominated by a beautiful fruit perfume. A great Petrus in a particularly graceful, scented style. 2032–50+. | 97–98
