Victoria Daskal | Extremely pure, pristine apple, with floral and honey notes that would snap you straight to the Loire if you didn’t know better. Searingly fresh acidity glides through ripe, textured palate. Amazingly exuberant yet harmonious at once. Long, almost vibrating finish. | 96
Jamie Goode | Nuts, apples, and stones add detail to the fresh citrus fruits here. There’s a slight syrupy hint under the fresh fruit. Dry, with good acidity, this is heading in the right direction, but the syrup notes detract a little. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Pale gold. Splendid sappy fullness and freshness here: complex orchard fruits, some gingery spice, mellow, perfumed, and long. An outstanding Chenin nose. Zesty, lively, fresh, pure, and charming on the palate, and the perfect combination of poised dry fruit and aromatic charm. You could put this into the Loire flight, and it would convince in terms of allusions and varietal character, though the additional warmth and wealth it has suggests Cape authenticity. | 92
