Neil Beckett | This ancient site, established by the Cistercian Abbey of Mazières in the 12th century, came with Domaine Laleure-Piot (as did a parcel of premier cru Les Vergelesses). It may be on the Hautes-Côtes, but it has a benign south-southest exposure and at least in 2016 shows only positive effects of the 50% whole-bunch fermentation. Aérien, elegant, and silky, but also exceptional harmony, intensity, and tenacity for the level. | 89
