BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett | The knowledgable and sensitive Pierre de Benoist finds 2016 a "better balanced" vintage than 2015, more "mineral," "organic," and terroir transparent, and as good for whites as for reds. White gold. A very winning nose: alluringly floral, intense, luminous, ripe but subtle, with the complexity of well-managed Aligoté Doré vines in 17 parcels and vines up to 115 years old. As floral as fruity on the palate, too, elegant, pure, and sleek, with deceptive gentle length on the finish. | 89
