BUY THE WINE

Jesús Barquín | Deep, almost opaque cherry. Nose lacking a little definition, with a hint of reduction that may have to do with sheer concentration. The palate, on the other hand, shows a lighter structure allowing fruit and new oak notes to emerge. A slight bitterness in the aftertaste. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red in color. Sweet, warm scents, but lacking a little aromatic precision and definition. Sound, well-balanced, and structured red Bierzo, with the intrinsic depth, sobriety, and liveliness the name promises. | 88

Richard Mayson | Mid-deep youthful ruby hue; not unattractive but a rather green, stalky quality on the nose, with underlying hedgerow fruit; fresh and sappy but with underripe tannins on the palate leading to a finish that tails off quite quickly. All rather underwhelming. | 79
