Neil Beckett | A brilliant wine, already bottled at the time of tasting in London in January. Completely hors classe, from a single parcel in Meursault planted with massal-selected vines in 1982. Very low yields for the level—around 40hl/ha (normally around 60hl/ha), the early harvest (late August) and clean lees helping to preserve the freshness, according to highly talented Franck Grux, winemaker for Olivier Leflaive. Water-white. Effortless, exhilarating purity on both nose and palate. Lightly floral (linden) scent, real scintillation on the finish, and excellent length. | 89
