Alex Hunt | Vivid summer-berry aromas—very focused, very Pinot. Bright, vigorous palate but seems to lose its way and turn dusty toward the finish. | 84
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep red. A little more complexity of aroma compared to the run of its peers; some depth and sobriety of fruit. On the palate, there is much deeper fruit than most, and a drier style of Pinot, too, without the sometimes homogenizing “sweet charm” that comes so easily to Chile. Fresh, clear, with a little verticality to it; some sense of the nobility of the varietal emerges. Still not much structure, however, and the finish is frankly evanescent. One would like to see a little firmness of tannin in a wine like this. I’m grateful that the oak is subdued. Good effort. | 89
Anthony Rose | Bright cherryish ruby in color, this is fresh and attractively fragrant with raspberryish Pinot perfume. The fruit is ripe, sweetly dark cherryish and nicely defined by good concentration and opulence, framed by adolescent tannic grip and a nice dark-berry freshness of fruit, with sub-threshold oak adding a touch of complexity to the overall balance and structure. | 91
