Alex Hunt | With sour-cherry aromas and smoky oak shading into reduction, this has a very Côte de Nuits feel, of a certain school. The palate is really tart, though, and not clean or pure enough in flavor to resolve all these quite jangly elements. Ambitious, but not that successful. | 80
Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black red. Strange, earthy-peppery sort of scent with an unassignable off-note—root beer or something... Unenticing. Acid-led but not acidic; more sweet-and-sour, and with stewy fruits; not an aesthetic success for me. The variety doesn’t seem happy here. | 79
Anthony Rose | Deep youthful ruby in color, this is showing an evolved, meaty, savory character on the nose behind the dark berry aromatic fruit quality; the dark, rich red fruit is evolving well on the palate, with a suppleness of texture supported by a meaty savoriness and good cleansing acidity in a style that’s not a million miles from Côte de Beaune (Savigny?), while the fruit concentration brings weight and complexity to a well-crafted Chilean red. | 90
