Alex Hunt | Little aroma, vaguely curranty and slightly gamey. A lean, thoroughbred structure that is very winning until the finish, where the dilute fruit has dissipated and the acid takes over. | 81
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep red-black. Sweet, warm, well rounded, and attractive, if not very varietal. Some rooty parsnip here. Bright and firm, with, again, some welcome grip. The real problem here is that the fruit just doesn’t have the diagnostic lyrical Pinot classicism and purity and drive of fruit, but in other respects it is a very well-made, light-bodied Argentinian red. | 84
Anthony Rose | Powerful with plenty of sweet fruit on the mid-palate, but hey, chunky tannins and hefty alcohol are the antithesis of what makes a good Pinot, so this just doesn’t work at all. | 83
