BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Muted nose, apricots, mirabelle plums. Reasonably fresh on the palate, but a bit more sweetness than I expect from a 'dry' Riesling. Silky, but lacks some lift and concentration. Pleasant, but lacks distinction. Run of the mill. Has quite good length. 12

Jancis Robinson: Broad, rich, even heavy on the nose. Earthy. But cool and pure at the same time. Great integrity. Presumably those earthy aromas are a terroir effect. Quite evolved and long. Lots of pleasure. 15.5

Alexander Scott: Touch of reduction. Faint blackcurrant-leaf tone. Correct, but I can't find very much personality. Decent wine, though, competently made. 13
