Stephen Brook: Discreet grapefruity nose. Fairly rich, succulent and medium-bodied, with plenty of ripe acidity beneath the fruit. A citric style I'd associate more with Rheingau, but the raciness is appealing, as is the discreet taut structure. Good length and plenty of finesse. 17

Jancis Robinson: Open and evolved without enormous intensity. Apple juice, really, with some apple-skin effect. 14

Alexander Scott: Fully ripe, gentle, a soft but distinct hint of honey. Full and gentle palate - altogether pleasing. This is the sort of dry German Riesling to win friends and influence people, without perhaps being up with the very finest. Pure pleasure. Enjoyable as from now (unlike the Keller wines), though it will keep several years. 16.5
