Andrew Jefford: Light coloured, silver-gold. Fresh, vivid, elegant, with lots of green, sappy fruits. Again that touch of bluebell or hyacinth. Vivid, fresh fruit flavours, vigorous and incisive, but slightly one-dimensional towards the finish, with the acidity coming across as rather abrupt. 13

Simon Larkin : Lighter in appearance than preceding wines, this reveals soft, fragrant characters of gently perfumed lime and green apple. The palate shows good purity with Cox-apple fruit to the fore. Certainly a mineral style, with notes of whetstone and pithy lime revealed to the finish. A good example, but lacking in real class. 14.5

Alexander Scott: Noticeably pale colour (especially compared with the wines that followed). This, again, is richly ripe but essentially a simple wine with no sustained interest on the mid-palate and a slightly cloying finish. 12.5
