Simon Field: Lifted aromas, then lingering wild strawberry. Palate rather confected, a slightly dusty note sitting in awkward syncopation, and a weakish finish. 13
Richard Mayson: Quite lean and peppery on the nose, black pepper on the palate. Lighter and leaner than many, but quite nicely balanced nonetheless. Falls away on the finish. 13.5
Jancis Robinson: Deeper purplish crimson than the regular Cockburn. Rich, chocolate-covered raisins on the nose. The fruit seems fresher than on the principal bottling and the tannins better integrated. Quite marked acidity - much more marked than on the regular Cockburn. More marked tannins as well. 13
