Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A magnificent sample that confirms a subtle change in style for this estate. The ripe fruit nose is fresher, with none of those chocolaty or jammy notes seen before. The flesh is smooth and delicately spicy. This is a long and very elegant wine, a real charmer – we look forward to discovering how the bottled wine develops. 16.5

Margaret Rand: A lean, even skeletal wine with a lot of tannin and very spare fruit. It needs to take on a lot more flesh. 13
