Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great colour and a generous nose distinguished by more powerful notes of empyreuma than the Pavie. It almost has that whiff of creosote typical of wines from gravel soils – the characteristic that gives the great Pessacs such cachet. A generous, complex, persistent wine, very much in the tradition of recent vintages. 15.5
Margaret Rand: Tight fruit and structure, dense and long. Very promising. 17
