Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Woody on the nose (excusable for a barrel sample), but behind there are delicious citrus fruit flavors. Perfectly ripe grapes, impressively long, and a charm difficult to capture in words, but attributable to the distinct Preignac fruit. 17
Michael Schuster: Turbid pale gold; closed, but rich, fine, and mineral to smell; well balanced, with a fresh acidity; intensely sweet, lively flavor, marked by clear botrytis spice and complexity; long and quite liquorous at the level, with good length on the finish. Another very attractive wine from this consistent, middle-rank Sauternes. 2012–25+. 15.5
