Alison Buchanan: Rather advanced and mature in appearance, this is garnet in colour with quite a faded rim. The nose is hot and spicy but rather volatile and spirity, which in turn is reflected on the palate. There is richness there, but the overall effect is rather sweaty until tannins hit in on the mid-palate, giving some focus. 16

Jancis Robinson: Red, hint of garnet. Warm, slightly exotic perfume, hint of ‘warm rubber’, very subtle. Fresh fruit, nice warm development, good balance, but tart elements just start to come through on the length. Starting to dry out; drink up. 15

Jeremy Watson: A lovely fruity wine with light brick colour and gentle aromas, with oak dominating that carries through to the mouth leaving a rather blunt finish. That said, it would be great with a nice slice of roast lamb and worth more than the score I shall give it. 16
