Oz Clarke: A slight sense of bark bitterness about this. It’s okay, but isn’t thrilling. Quite good, with reasonably dry and slightly skinsy fruit. It’s a fairly typical, somewhat extractive, solid type of Napa Cab. 15.5
Alex Hunt: Rich, closed, opulent nose. In this case, wafts of alcohol seem to fit with the exotic, generous style. Gorgeous fruit, nicely balanced – succeeds wholly on its own terms. 17
Margaret Rand: Big, dense, powerful wine. Muscular and sinewy – spends far too long in the gym. It’s awfully good and well honed and all that, but I’m not sure if it’s ultimately that interesting; perhaps it should spend more time reading. Texture is very good, silky and polished, and it’s poised and focused, but somehow just a bit too perfect. But the length is good, and it can’t be faulted. 17
