Michael Schuster: Dark red. Youthfully fruity nose, lightly mineral. Very nicely balanced middleweight with a fine tannin and good fruit core; elegant, even, complex, with a lovely, ripe fruit character, subtle minerality, and excellent fruit length. A fine St-Julien that will drink well early but keep and develop, too. Lovely balance, no excess oak or extract. 2012–25+. 16.5
