Alison Buchanan: Yellow-gold with, enticingly, some flashes of green. The nose, at last, has something electric about it, a piercing, spiced character that suggests both complexity and poise. Honey, melon, apples and nuts all play a role on both the nose and palate, the latter being very rich, silky and sweet. A refined mineral layer, combined with a little almond bitterness, almost succeed in making up for a lack of freshness. Attractive, mid length. 13.5
Nicolas Belfrage: Bright, inviting aromas of hazelnut and pear, some spice. Nicely balanced between acid and fruit, not being a particularly ‘fruity’ grape variety. Warm, medium length, well made, but ultimately not special. 14.5
Alex Hunt: Very neutral; a bit of nutty character and some breadth on the palate. Simple and unexciting. 10
