Stephen Brook: Straw colour. Lean nose, Lemon Pledge, slight waxiness. Rich, broad, quite powerful, not much varietal character despite the strong acidity. It seems out of balance with a rather bitter grapefruit finish, but it has concentration and vigour and may come round in time. Good length. 16.5

Simon Field: Tight and lean, a well-made and honest wine, not overburdened with charm, but faithful to the intrinsic quality of the varietal in a tricky vintage. 16

Roy Richards: Yeasty, lacks definition. Decent and straight on the palate, but without the class one expects at this level. 15
