Nicolas Belfrage: Straightforw ard cherry fruit on the nose. A relatively easy-going, friendly wine whose drinkability masks considerable seriousness. Soft and fruity, yet with adequate acidity and underlying ripe tannins. 16

Stephen Brook: Deep red. A rather stewed nose, jammy and sweet. The same on the palate, despite the high acidity. Weird. Rather dry tannins compound the weirdness. It might all integrate with time, but I have my doubts. Quite good length, with an astringent finish. 11

Alison Buchanan: Deep ruby withatawny rim. Very concentrated, spicy and gamey palate. Huge, though currently too young. Silky tannins. Well made. 16
