Michel Bettane: Straw colour. A vinous, wonderfully complete, blue-blooded Champagne. 18

Simon Larkin : Mid-golden appearance. The nose suggests creamy-coated, vanillin-nuanced fruit. The palate is clearly youthful, with chalky mineral flavours that are almost piercing in their clarity. There is astonishing intensity here, that does not permit enjoyment at its current level of maturity. This will subside to allow a more complex expression to emerge with time. 17.5

Anthony Rose: Yellow-gold. Slightly honeyed fruit on the nose. Clean and refreshing palate with nice richness and red berry-fruit characters, good fresh acidity, terroir character, classy fruit quality; mouth-filling, rich mousse and good, intense fruit flavours, still with plenty of promise. 17
