Michel Bettane: (Bottle 1) Probably corked. (Bottle 2) Very elegant, with a delicately fragrant nose of lemon and honey. Good breeding - all the signs of a distinguished origin. 17
Simon Larkin : (Bottle 1) Good intensity of colour; modest bead. The aromas here do not seem entirely clean. Impossible to assess - this is clearly tainted, NS
Anthony Rose: (Bottle 2) Oak fermentation giving spicy vanilla notes, although a touch of grubbiness, which is possible corkiness (the first bottle was corked). This has intense Pinot Noir fruitiness on the palate, red-berry characters with good mouth-filling mousse, intense flavours, crisp acidity and real finesse. I am giving it the benefit of the doubt because it's undoubtedly a wine of excellent finesse and intensity. Without the slight hint of grubbiness, this would go into the highest category. 17
