Simon Field: Young, slightly sappy aromas. Straightforward, pleasantly sweet and a little raw. Will calm down but never achieve greatness. 14.5

Andrew Jefford: Black-purple, but a little less glycerol depth than the Quinta do Vesuvio and Warre’s. Lots of fruit, but in rather a simple, almost sherbet style. Quite a lot of herbaceous notes, too. Impressive, weighty, but once again a touch green or herbaceous. I keep finding wines like this - I wonder if it’s a single shipper? Very pure and deep, but I am left asking questions about shaded canopies. 14.5

Richard Mayson: Deep colour. Raw and rather oxidised on the nose? Rustic. Strange - soft, rich and sweet on the palate but rustic here, too. Raw, rustic length. An oddball. 7
