Stephen Brook: Rich but tangy nose, quite powerful. Not as sweet as some, very rich, broad, rather faint acidity; little complexity, light phenolic character. Medium length. 14

Andrew Jefford: Very pale water-gold. Rather evanescent and aromatically shy: pretty, floral, but discreet. Intense and juicy style, with lovely fruit presence. Russet-apple flavours set off by brocaded sugars; persistent; plenty of charm. Perhaps my score is generous bearing in mind its scale, but the style is very well crafted. 15

Jancis Robinson: Broad, pungent, mineral nose with the promise of considerable extract. A flashy wine with quite good acidity - flattering without being exceptionally sweet. Some elderflower character. More persistence than many. Drink 2008-17. 15.5
