Stephen Brook: Rich nose, touch of baked apple. Sweet, creamy, voluptuous, but the lack of acidity deprives it of verve and zest; pleasant fruit, lightly tangy, but not very stylish or persistent. Quite a good length. 15
Andrew Jefford: Glowing yellow. Dull, blank aromas. Another technically correct wine, but the fruits once again are boiled sweet-like, and this lacks all aerial qualities as well as any sense of mineral gravity. Not a success. 10
Jancis Robinson: Quite deep colour. Simple, slightly slack, fruity, open attack. Creditable/serviceable without being exciting. Still some astringence. Much sweeter than [the Schloss Schonborn Erbacher Marcobrunn Auslese]. Score and drinking window are identical to the other wine, but very different character. Drink 2008-17. 15
