Tim Atkin : Big, dark, brooding colour. A huge, intense, flag-waving nose with masses of power, concentration and intensity. Not a wine for the faint of heart. The palate is closer to McLaren Vale than Margaret River, with ripe, plum/berry, vanilla-oak characters and smooth tannins. It's a bit obvious and four-square, but it's a dense, concentrated, well-made wine. Should develop for 3-5 years. 15.5

Oz Clarke: All that lovely vivid red that Malbec brings. It smells pretty oaky, but there is fruit there too. On the palate, good. There is lots of mint there and the Malbec isn’t overripe, instead adding a mix of fresh acid and toffee plum juices to the mix. This is good. Minty, attractive, quite deep, dark fruit. Not that complex but very pleasant and balanced for now to four years. It's fairly dry yet does have a very nice glycerine syrup too. 17

Michael Schuster: Inky purple; oak vanilla and eucalyptus nose; full-bodied, forceful, tannic, muscular wine; another wine where the structure of alcohol, tannin and acidity rather dominates the fruit; ripe fruit, modest complexity, chewy tannin, medium length. 15
