Tim Atkin : Mature, developed, purple/brick rim. Minty, eucalyptus-scented nose with some vanilla-oak characters. Palate very minty and a little dry. Will not develop further. Fading a little, but still a decent glass of wine. 15.5

Oz Clarke: Full red, just on the turn. On the nose, lovely full mint and full ripe cherry. On the palate, the leafy earthy character comes through more, but it’s very attractive. At nine years old we have got a lovely mature fruit mix of strawberry, blackcurrant and plum and a nicely integrated green-fern-and-mint and fresh-earth scent. The result is a delicious, refreshing, appetising red - mature, cool, delicious. 17.5

Michael Schuster: Brick-edged black-red; scented, cedary, faintly mint-and-eucalyptus-edged Cabernet; fairly well-balanced medium-full wine, with very dry tannin. Brisk red-fruit flavour rather dried by its tannic frame, too much astringency for the available fruit. Good, but tannin and acid shorten the finish. 14.5
