Tim Atkin : Some development at the rim. Secondary aromas on the nose, with hints of leaf and truffle. Rather grubby, reductive fruit characters, possibly with a mouldy note, with drying tannins and an oxidative character. This won’t develop and it’s not terribly appetising now either. 11
Oz Clarke: Rather old-fashioned, flat and reductive nose. Palate round and smooth, but the sulphates seem to permeate the wine - which is a pity because this has quite sweet Merlot fruit, and if the winery knew what it was doing, it might have produced a good juicy short-term red. 11.5
Michael Schuster: Deep red; some reduction on the nose, faintly vegetal too; medium-full, firmly tannic wine; short, dry-edged, fruity flavour - not bad, just not much to this. 12
