Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Lovely colour, toasty nose, ripe fruit. Fat, rich and soft, good ripe tannins. Refreshing length. A deeply harmonious wine that, at this stage, largely dominated the Listrac tastings. Expert use of new oak gives it a particularly well-groomed look while hiding none of its core qualities. 16
