Michael Schuster: Inky colour; dense, fat and ripe to smell; supple, fleshy, medium to full-bodied wine, fine oak vanilla to the ripe-fruit flavours, moderately complex, good length. Good wine, but not the stature of a top Pape-Clement. 16/16.5
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Warm, mouth-filling and velvety, similarly rich in composition to the Mission but with more pronounced new oak. Great length and super-polished, harmonious tannins, plus a suavity that is rarely seen in Pessac. Very classy. 18
